Panasonic Brings You A Sleek And Slender Eluga Power P-07D Smartphone - Specs & Features

For Panasonic fans, August is certainly a month to rejoice as Panasonic gets into more action by releasing the promised Eluga Power P-07D which has been unveiled earlier this year in February. If sexiness is what Panasonic is going for, I would say that they have done a pretty good job at it! With a 5 inch LCD screen and a super thin and slender body, this P-07D certainly does the Eluga series proud with the Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS running it.

This member of the Eluga family has outdone its little brother, the regular Eluga, in many areas such as coming in that bigger sized HD screen but they do have some similarities between them. One of the most prominent is the fact that this smartphone can withstand water for 30 seconds (up to 1 metre in depth) so for those of you who are caught in the rain with this phone, you should be happy that the waterproofing element can save the day for you. A little perk you might be happy to find out is that this phone is also dustproof, how cool is that!

Many supporters have lauded the missing physical buttons on this Eluga Power P-07D because it creates an overall professional and stylish look for the front end. I do agree but I have to voice my dismay after taking a look at the back of this phone since it looks pretty cheesy (at least to me) coming in a huge chunk of black plastic. Well, the minimalistic look works for the front but not for the back, I would say.

Enough of the looks, let’s go into the heavy details, shall we? Panasonic’s P-07D packs ICS as well as has a dual core S4 processor that ticks at 1.5 GHz, 8GB internal memory, weighs 127 grams, 1GB Ram, 720×1080 resolution, microSD slot, main camera of 13.2MP which supports autofocus, secondary camera of 1.3MP, connectivity through Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and the USB interface. The battery is 1800mAh and as mentioned before, the real catch for P-07D is that it comes with the Android 4.0.3 OS.

Let’s do a wrap up, shall we? So with these tech offerings, the biggest reason (besides it running Android Ice Cream Sandwich) why someone would be convinced to get this phone is probably due to its giant screen and its sleek outlook at first glance. Its status is “coming soon” and by “soon”, I do mean this August though the date has not been set in stone yet. The price has yet to be confirmed but a safe gauge would be that this phone will be nearing the $670 mark.

Stay tuned for more updates!
