Lenovo ThinkPad X230 & X230t (Ivy Bridge) Specs,Photo Leaked


Photos and specifications of the latest Lenovo ThinkPad X230 and it tablet version, the ThinkPad X230t, has leaked all over the net. The documents were allegedly recovered from a cached page of a Suisse ThinkPad Center website from Google Search. ThinkPad X230 and X230t are among the laptops that are expected to be released or announce within March to early June 2012 in alignment to the release of Intel’s latest Ivy Bridge processor that will also come with the said laptop and tablet.

Based on the leaked photo and the details that came along with it, the ThinkPad X230 and X230t will resemble the looks of other ThinkPad notebook computers with its renowned blocky and black design. The X230 will also feature a Chiclet AccuType keyboard and lenevo also made changes with the configuration of the buttons on the touchpad, with the left and right buttons situated at the top instead of the conventional location at the bottom of the touch-pad.

The Lenovo ThinkPad X230 is the successor to the ThinkPad X220 and it will have some similar characteristics with it such as the size of the screen and some other factors. According to the leaked pages, the ThinkPad X230 will house 12.5 inch HD display screen, same with X220, that is expected to have a resolution of 1366 x 768p. Also, the Lenovo ThinkPad X230t tablet will be able to support multi-touch input similar to most mobile tablets, with an option for an outdoor-viewable display.

Lenovo will be using the 3rd Generation Intel Core Ivy Bridge processor. The list of configurations for the ThinkPad X230 have included the CPUs such as the Intel i5-3210M, i5-3320M, i5-3360M, and the Intel i7-3520M. Reports have also indicated that the X230 will be using the business-class chipset version of the HM77, the QM77 that includes the Intel vPro system management technology and will have the integrated Intel HD Graphics 4000 for its GPU. The Lenovo ThinkPad X230 will be available with different storage capacities. It has a 320GB and a 500GB traditional HDD variants and a 180GB Solid-State Drive (SSD). The leaked information also reveals that the ultraportable ThinkPad X230 and X230t will be available, at least in Switzerland, in the 8-week time. However, prices in the information were relatively high as compared to the selling price of the X220 and X220t.

Lenovo will surely announce its latest ThinkPad X230 and X230t in the next weeks to come. For now, let us just wait for the exact release date and specifications of this much awaited Ivy Bridge laptop and tablet.
