AT&T HTC One X Release Date Slated For May 6th At Price $199.99, Pre-orders Start From April 22nd

While others are definitely enjoying having some sweet time with their HTC One X, AT&T customers are still left waiting for the device. But the company has already put a stop to their anticipation by announcing the fixed release date of AT&T HTC One X. According to the official press release today, HTC One X under AT&T brand will be released starting May 6th for $199.99 with a two-year lock-in period. AT&T will open pre-orders on April 22nd, around two weeks before the device launches. This will give customers more time to order online or through phone. Apparently, this is just another marketing stunt for the company considering this variant comes with just a dual-core processor and not the Nvidia Tegra 3.

That being said, for the benefit of those who haven’t known yet, the AT&T’s variant of the HTC One X comes with only a dual-core Snapdragon S4 chipset processor clocked at 1.5GHz because Tegra 3 had some compatibility issues the company’s 4G network in which it is trying to promote extensively. That’s why AT&T didn’t bother stuffing up the most powerful CPU for mobile today into its device. Instead, it went for a bit lower specs but with the assurance that its customers will be getting the best of it 4G network. You should also know that HTC One X is AT&T’s and HTC’s newest flagship so everything is being put into this device just to attract more customers and gain more revenue.

HTC One X is the most sensational smartphone which has become totally popular since the first quarter of 2012 simply because it is one of the devices with super high specs. Tech enthusiasts think this device is just something tech hungry people are looking. But US hopefuls were disappointed when HTC announced the AT&T variant would not be getting an nVidia Tegra 3 quad-core. Nevertheless, the dual-core CPU is more than enough this handset can use. But the thought that it would be playing on a 4G network soon is reassuring.

Other specs of this great device include Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sadwich, the Beats Audio technology, HTC Sense 4, and the 4.7 inches 720p HD display. While it does not really have a powerful camera, 8 megapixels is more than enough for any aspiring photographers who use their smartphones as cameras. These specs are actually worth the device’s price and I think people will be seeing it like that. Knowing that HTC One X is AT&T’s first ever smartphone released with ICS pre-installed, it is almost an assurance that we will be getting the best.

So, what people can get from this device are the following: audio at its finest, ultimate entertainment, better camera, fast internet connectivity, and overall powerful device with high-caliber specs. If you are currently planning on getting yourself a new handset, would you consider this device from AT&T? If you have questions or suggestions, don’t hesitate to leave comments below, we will get back to you as soon as we can. Tell us what you think about this device.
