CES 2012: Fujitsu Quad-Core Tegra 3 Smartphone Running 4.0 ICS Unveiled

Fujitsu caught the CES 2012 by surprise when something else apart from the much anticipated Arrows F-078 and the ES IS12F was displayed. They had a very special something, the new Android Quad-Core smartphone which runs on the new OS 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

The display was just a prototype and there are still multiple additions and changes yet to be done before it is released in the market in the MWC (Mobile World Congress) later this year. But still the Quad-Core is quite impressive the way it is. To talk about the specifications, it would be running on the quad-core Nvidia Tegra-3 processor which would suffice all your gaming needs. The demonstration included running Riptide GP on the device to show its might. The device was able to run it on its own screen as well as on an external screen quite smoothly. In addition to all the mentioned specifications the built in core would help in minimizing the power consumption when the device is not running heavy graphical applications.

The prototype carried a 4.6 inches HD screen and also supported a 13.1 megapixel rear camera for that minute detail you always wanted to capture. The sensitivity was stated as ISO 25,600; however this pops a question about the quality of the captured images at this sensitivity level. The OS Ice Cream Sandwich would be launched out of the box with this device.

More about the device can only be known in the MWC when Fujitsu will elaborate their plans about this device.
