Viewsonic Launched ViewPad 10pi & ViewPad 10e Tablets: Specs & Prices


Viewsonic has launched not one but two 10-inch tablets this month. Both of the tablets will run on Android 2.3 OS. The more powerful Viewpad 10.1pi can also run on Windows 7 Professional with its dual boot feature. The ViewPad 10pi has a very steep price of $849 and the lower version ViewPad 10e at $299. Both tablets will be available this January.

The Viewpad 10pi is the more advanced tablet of the two. With its Intel Oak Trail z670 processor, doing the usual stuff with your tablet and Internet browsing is made faster. It also comes with a 2GB RAM and 64 GB SSD. At 10.1 inch, it is has a pretty spacious area for navigation and comes with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. Connectivity will never be an issue as it comes with Bluetooth 2.1, USB and Wi-Fi. On top of its internal storage, it comes with a microSD slot for extra storage space. It can be used take pictures with its 3 megapixel back camera or its 1.3 megapixel camera up front. With it comes to design, the 10pi design is pretty sleek with a thickness of only 18 mm and weighing only 29 ounces.

Viewsonic ViewPad 10e

On the other side of the scoop, the ViewPad 10e sports a 9.7 inch display screen with a lower resolution of 1024 x 768 pixel. It runs on a 1 GHz cortexA8 processor with a 512 MB DDR3 RAM. Storing your pictures and messages will not be a problem with a 4GB internal storage plus if you need extra space you can use an external microSD. Connectivity is via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0. This version only comes with one camera which is 1.3 megapixel in front. If you want a slightly thinner tablet than the Viewpad 10pi, you can get this 9.1 mm thick tablet that weighs only 22 ounces.
