After all the hype and tentative release dates, Galaxy Nexus wannabe owners can now take a peek of the phone’s retail price. At least, even without a confirmed date of release, you can still be able to prepare your wallet.
How much is it? Well, it seems that it would cost you the sum of $299. That of course came from a leaked Verizon Wireless in-store price tag. And better not forget that you’d be asked to sign a new two-year contract. Meanwhile, the phone’s outright price failed to include itself in the picture but it is apparent that you will need to pay a one-time purchase fee of $649.
Meanwhile, if you prefer to get the Galaxy Nexus at someplace else, then you can pay your local Costco shop a visit. It seems that the shop will be selling the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone for $289. But that’s not all. You will also be getting a bunch of decent accessories that would pack the usual car charger, screen protectors and of course – a leather pouch. The Galaxy Nexus accessory bundle may not be as appealing as those that you can get from Bionic or RAZR but it is somewhat good enough for a $10 cut in price.
As of now, there isn’t any report that could confirm the smartphone’s actual date of release. Just don’t get too frustrated when your friends at the North get to call you and you will eventually know that they have gotten their own units of Galaxy Nexus from Bell or Virgin Mobile.
In any case, just keep on hoping that the smartphone will finally get its most-awaited public debut this December 13th. If not, then keep on hoping. Besides, your wait will surely be worth it for you will get a 4.65 inch phone with Super AMOLED capacitive display that can access the web via Verizon’s 4G LTE.
