Samsung Epic 4G Touch Android 4.0.3 ICS ROM (FB17) Leaked Again


Great news for those who are hoping to upgrade their Samsung Epic 4G Touch’s firmware to Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich! That’s because a newer version of a modded ROM can now be downloaded and installed on your smartphone.

The ICS ROM with build version FB17 seems like an updated version of the previously leaked firmware (with build version FB09) and you can basically expect a couple of improvements and modifications. If you want, you can get the source file along with the full installation guide at this link. Of course, we do expect you to follow the protocol and that’s not to blame anyone (but yourself) in case you get phone your bricked. Also, don’t say that we didn’t warn you that the said process could void your phone’s precious warranty.

If you are new to rooting and flashing ROMs, you’d better ask for help. Moreover, you have to keep in mind that this leaked ICS ROM isn’t the official Android Ice Cream Sandwich for Sprint’s Samsung Epic 4G Touch. Sadly, we cannot tell you anything about the official firmware version since we haven’t heard anything from Sprint. Don’t worry though. We will definitely keep you updated if we do manage to get some juicy infos.

Anyways, the Samsung Epic 4G Touch is simply a variant of the Samsung Galaxy S2. The phone is exclusively intended for Sprint. It flaunts a 4.52 inch Super AMOLED Plus capacitive touchscreen with 480 x 800 pixels of full screen resolution. You will also be able to take advantage of the phone’s 1.2GHz Dual Core Exynos processor that goes alongside with its 8MP rear facing camera with auto focus, geo-tagging and LED flash, 1080p HD quality video recording, 2MP front facing camera for video chats, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, up to 32GB of external storage via micro SD card, Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n and USB 2.0.
