How to Root Lenovo IdeaPad A1 Tablet With Super One Click Tool

The Lenovo IdeaPad A1 can be considered as a pretty decent tablet. Considering that its price can pretty much compete with Amazon’s Kindle Fire, the 7 inch slate deserves to be recognized. If you happen to own one, you can actually do something to make the most out its hidden potentials. You flash custom ROMs, custom themes and a whole lot more. All that you need to do is to root your slate using this very handy “Super One Click” rooting tool.

But first and foremost, you need to have your Lenovo IdeaPad A1 at your side. You will also need a working computer (must be running in Windows XP or higher) and a USB data cable. After you get all these things gathered up, you can carefully follow our step-by-step tutorial below. Ready? Then, let’s move on.

Step 1: Download the Rooting Package for your Lenovo IdeaPad A1 tablet at this link.

Step 2: Extract the file that you’ve just downloaded to a new folder using a WinRar/WinZip client.

Step 3: In the new folder, locate the ‘Super One Click’ tool. Double Click on the said file to run the program.

Step 4: On your tablet’s home screen, tap ‘Menu’ then go to Settings > Application > Development then click on USB Debugging. This will enable the USB Debugging feature on your device.

Step 5: Using your USB data cable, connect your Lenovo IdeaPad A1 tablet to your computer.

Step 6: Open the Super One Click Program and click on the ‘Root’ tab. This will initiate the rooting process of your tablet.

Step 7: Wait until done. That’s it! You have successfully enabled your slate’s root access.

The Lenovo IdeaPad A1 runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Thus, if you have it rooted, you can easily flash a custom ROM to make your tablet run on Android Ice Cream Sandwich or Android Honeycomb.

I have tried rooting my Lenovo Ideapad A1 following your directions. But each time it stops at #7 and would not go beyond that even after waiting over night. What next should I do? I am using Superoneclick 2.3.3.0.
Thanks for anticipated help, possibly to my email.
