HTC Sensation ROM Reveals Sense UI on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich

HTC Sensation users will get a very nice treat from XDA this Christmas. And if you happen to own one, then you’re in luck! That’s because you can now be able to get an early taste of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with HTC Sense UI. Sounds like a tasty treat, right?

If this is your first time to hear about this, then allow us to tell you that there is this new ROM that you can download and install on your HTC Sensation. The custom ROM will get your phone running on Android v4.0 aka Ice Cream Sandwich. But unlike any other custom ROMs, you will basically be navigating through a customized HTC Sense UI.

HTC Sensation ROM

The whole look and feel of the HTC Sense UI on Android 4.0 is basically the same. Compared to the previous versions, there isn’t any remarkable difference. Though, it is apparent that the static launcher icon and the app drawer has been modified, you really can’t help but think that there aren’t much that can distinguish the Sense UI in Android 4.0 from the usual Sense UI. Anyways, we don’t really expect any major changes for the main reason that we are still very far from the final build. But for starters, this is good enough to let your HTC Sensation taste the new features of Android Ice Cream Sandwich.

Like any other custom ROMs, you can’t really avoid those glitches and bugs. You can’t set your wallpaper from the Gallery and you will basically have some issues with your phone’s battery. But look on the brighter side, your keyboard will have a pop up animation and you will be able to take advantage of your phone’s new security feature called Face Unlock.

Of course, this custom ROM wouldn’t exist if not for the efforts of robocik and capychimp of XDA Developers. Don’t forget to take a quick look at the screenshots!
