Motorola’s Droid Razr is in the race of reaching to the title of “best android phone”. It comes with many features but if you are looking for increasing its power and evolving new capabilities then you will have to root it.
Below is the rooting procedure for Motorola Droid Razr:
Step 1: First of all you will have to download the packages which are One click root and Recovery package. You can download them from here (Windows/Linux and Mac)
Step 2: After downloading the package, extract all the files in a new folder. You may use Winzip or Winrar for that purpose.
Step 3: Your phone should be in USB Debugging mode. For this first enable this service by going to “Menu -> Setting -> Application -> Development” and checking the USB Debugging option.
Step 4: After enabling the USB debugging, connect your Droid Razr to computer using USB data cable.
For Windows users:
Open the new folder where you have extracted the files, you will find a file named as “Runme.bat” there. Double click on that.

For Linux/Mac users:
Go to the new folder. Right click there and select “Open in Terminal”. Or open terminal anywhere and navigate to that new folder, you may use any way. After this run the command given below in your terminal.
Command: sudo sh runmelinux.sh
Step 5: Your Droid Razr has been rooted but don’t remove it from your computer, it will install custom recovery automatically, let it be connected for some time unless it finishes processing. After the complete processing you may disconnect your phone from computer.
Your Droid Razr has been rooted successfully. If you faced any problem then let me know in comments. I will be glad to help.
