> If you want the person who is visiting you profile May also visit your another profiles on any other social networking site or the blogs. For that you have to edit the image using any of the editing software. It will show the icon there but it won’t be clickable if you want you can give a direct link by making the text link in the editing.
> If you want to announce something or declare it to the visitors like if you are gone for a vacation or may be anything you want convey you can do it. For that you must edit it using the Photoshop or any other editing software. Reduce the opacity of your photo and then overlay the message you want to convey on that photo.
There are endless possibilities of photos. You can also make a collage and put it as the cover photo. Or use your creativity in the editing and make the photo which you have chosen look best. In this way you can make a good impression on the visitors of your profile.

u dont have to tell ppl how to change the cover… it is easy to do… however, the background is difficult. there is no explanation given about how to change the background, and that is one of the most important things to do for those hardcore facebookers out there

I agree. I don’t see how to change the background. The COVER, I get. It’s the background on my wall that I don’t get.
