GameStop Confirmed ASUS Transformer Prime Release on 19th December


So far, we’ve been a hearing a lot of positive reviews about the new ASUS Transformer Prime. Considering that its date of release has officially been confirmed, a lot of you will definitely be searching for a reliable retailer.

And if you still haven’t found one, then you might want to check out the slate’s pre-order page at GameStop. In fact, there were reports claiming that the boutique game retailer has announced that starting this weekend; customers will be allowed to try the said tablet at selected GameStop outlets nationwide. However, the retailer did not mention any specific location as to where they will be displaying the ultra-slim ASUS Transformer Prime.

In the past few months, the web was flooded with leaks revealing the tablet’s tentative dates of release and alleged features. It wasn’t until last Thursday, December 1, that ASUS did confirm that the slate will indeed be shipped in the US starting this December 19th. The Taiwan-based electronics company also stated that it will be offering the tablet in amethyst gray (gray and purple) and champagne gold (silver and gold) colours that will somewhat complement the tablet’s metallic spun finish design. Thus, if you would like to pre-order the tablet, you can now do so by simply going to GameStop. The ASUS Transformer Prime tablet with optional docking keyboard station can be yours for $499.99.

With the Transformer Prime, you will be able to enjoy the great benefits of having a Quad Core powered 10.1 inch tablet that can perform a variety of tasks at the same time. It is equipped with Android 3.2 Honeycomb alongside with its 8 mega pixel rear shooter and 1.2 mega pixel front facing webcam.
