We already know that the Samsung Galaxy Nexus is the world’s first Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone. But what about the world’s first ICS tablet? Will it also be developed by Samsung? The answer is no.
If you’re curious enough to know the answer, then allow us to tell you that the mysterious tablet can be found in China and its official moniker remains unknown. We do not know the name of the tablet’s manufacturer either. But according to reports, the said Ice Cream Sandwich slate seems to be a Xoom clone. Seriously, we don’t see any resemblance except for its rectangular form.
Specs wise, the unnamed 10.1 inch slate can take pride of its Android 4.0.1 Operating System together with its NVIDIA Tegra 2 Dual Core Processor. And if you take a close look at the product shots, you can obviously spot the tablet’s rear facing shooter aside from its HDMI port, SD card slot and SIM card slot. The folks at Shanzhaiben also stated that the tablet is no less than 12mm thin and it is equipped with 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, front facing web camera, 3G and GPS Navigation. The tablet can surely last for hours as it powered by a 7000 mAh battery.
The slate may be dubbed as a Motorola Xoom imitation but what is more important is the fact that it clearly shows its capacity to run on Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0. And as much as we would like to know more about this tablet, it seems that we have no other choice but to wait until next year’s CES. Maybe there, we would know more about the tablet’s features and specifications.
Just keep in mind that the slate is intended for the Chinese Market. That means it won’t have any access to Google’s Android Market and you will have to find another way to download your favourite Android applications. The price and official date of release of the said tablet remains undisclosed.

Chinese tablets now can access the Android Market. I’ve been using a chinese Android for months (I broke it by accident though) and I could access the market. So have many others that I’ve seen…
