I love when there’s competition for Apple. It’s not that I dislike Apple, but I think a little competition is healthy. So many great products that were announced at this year’s CES but only two made it on my wish list, DISH’s Hopper and Sony’s Walkman Z. The Hopper is a cool new DVR with the PrimeTime Anytime feature that records the primetime HD content from CBS, NBC, FOX, and ABC and saves it for eight days without setting a timer, using up all of your TVs, or taking up all of your recording storage. I’ll be keeping close tabs on the release date for the Hopper; I’ll know right away because I work for DISH. It’s pretty amazing so I hope I can get it soon.
