The Ainol Novo 7 Paladin is currently being dubbed as one of the world’s first Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich tablets. Just don’t get all hyped up yet. As far as we can remember, we did tell you that the slate can now be availed at selected retail stores in China for $99. If you want the slate to be shipped in the US, then you will have to pay for the shipping that will cost you around $60. We just don’t know if you’re willing to spend your hard earned cash on a non-familiar brand of slate. Unless, of course, you have some extra money left from your bonus pay.
And speaking of which, the Novo 7 Paladin seems to be coming to the United States. In fact, you can pre-order the tablet at several import sites such as PandaWill and Merimobiles. But what’s even more tempting to know is that the 7 inch tablet can be yours for as low as $109.99. That’s way cheaper than having the slate shipped from China.
Specs wise, the Ainol Novo 7 Paladin (also called as the Ainol NOVO Knight Paladin) is a 7 inch Android 4.0 powered tablet that runs on a 1GHz Ingenic JZ4770 Xburst CPU. The slate is equipped with 512MB of Memory and up to 8GB of NAND Flash. Furthermore, retailers claim that the tablet can let you browse through your favorite apps at the Android Market. You can also watch the latest clips at YouTube as you can readily connect to the internet via Wi-Fi.
Just don’t expect that you’ll be getting a slate that’s durable and built out of premium materials. The Novo 7 is totally made of plastic. It doesn’t have any camera and won’t let you enjoy some features that you can normally find on a standard tablet. No Bluetooth and no GPS. Oh well, we don’t really discourage you from getting one but wouldn’t it be better if you’d get the Archos 70b IT or the Kindle Fire?
