ASUS Transformer Prime Release Date Revealed Again


Previous rumours did leak that the said Quad Core Tegra 3 ASUS Transformer Prime tablet will be launched by November 9th. Weeks passed and we’re still waiting for these stores to lift their ‘Coming Soon’ signs. We don’t really mind waiting for a couple more weeks but it would be better if these folks can give an actual date of release. Nevertheless, there’s a great probability that the said slate will be out before the end of this year.

But guess what? It seems that we don’t really need to wait for long. That’s because a leaked GameStop inventory snap shot revealed that the tablet will most likely be made available starting this December 19th. We doubt if this is really going to be official because of the fact that the said shop has long been known to give a bunch of tentative dates. Still, we keep our hopes high and our radars open for we might be able to get the tablet’s exact date of launch.

In case you’re wondering about the features of the ASUS Transformer Prime tablet, we’re here to tell you that it will be powered by Google’s Android 3.2 Honeycomb OS that will then be upgraded to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It will flaunt its 10.1 inch LED backlit Super IPS+ screen at 1280 x 800 pixels. It will also be equipped with built-in Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, micro HDMI, micro SD, 3.5mm headphone jack, 32GB or 64GB of internal storage, ASUS Cloud Storage, ASUS Web Storage, 1GB of DDR2 Memory, USB 2.0 port, 8 mega pixel rear camera with flash, 1.2 mega pixel front facing camera, stereo speaker, light sensor, GPS and a sturdy Gorilla Glass display. The classy looking tablet will also come with a detachable keyboard.

The 32GB model of the ASUS Transformer Prime tablet will be sold for 499.99 USD.
