You may know about the legal fight of Apple with Samsung in Germany that was started when Galaxy Tab 10.1 resembled in its looks and style with Apple iPad 2. According to recent report, the district court has given the judgment in the favor of Apple and therefore Apple has won this fight in Germany. According to court’s verdict, from now Samsung Galaxy Tab is permanently banned in Germany.
A spokeperson from the court side shed more light on this fact by saying, “Samsung Germany may not sell the device in any other European Union country,” although apparently other Samsung divisions can do so.
In response to this verdict, Samsung Mount an appeal. A spokeperson from Sammy commented via an email, “We are disappointed with this ruling and believe it severely limits consumer choice in Germany.”
Actually an injunction against sale of Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 was granted by Apple almost one month ago. For your information Apple also mount an appeal for the ban of this slate in the Netherlands and Australia. News is that the Apple has also filed some a complaint for the smartphone of Sammy in Japan.
The spokesperson for Samsung further said, “By imposing an injunction based on this very generic design right; this ruling restricts design innovation and progress in the industry.”
In the recent article, NTT DoCoMo CEO gave a statement, the launch of Samsung Galaxy Tab that possible in next month, “will not be affected by a patent-infringement lawsuit Apple has filed there against Samsung.”
Surely, the bane on Galaxy Tab 10.1 is bad news for the Germany’s Samsung Tablet lovers who were waiting to have this tablet as soon as they can.
