The other day, we told you that the NOVO 7 will finally be coming to US for a price that’s very light to your wallet. In fact, you can pre-order yours today at selected online import sites such as PandaWill and Merimobiles. You just need to pay the sum of $109.99.
Apart from being dubbed as the world’s first Ice Cream Sandwich tablet, there are lots of things that you need to know about the NOVO 7. First and foremost, the tablet is a 7 inch Android slate that comes from a China-based company called Ainovo (also known as Ainol) and it comes in three stylish models. The ‘Novo 7 Paladin’ is the one that you can get with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich but you’ll have to bear with the fact that the tablet isn’t equip with any camera that you can use to take some pics. On the other hand, the Novo 7 Basic is being powered by Android 3.2 Honeycomb while the Novo 7 Advanced ships with Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
You should also note that the Ainovo Novo 7 Paladin runs on a 1GHz Ingenic XBurst JZ4770 MIPS-based Processor. The tablet’s MIPS architecture can provide up to 30% faster calculation speed and up to 70% less power consumption than any other micro-processors. Furthermore, the tablet offers full access to the Android Market. You can browse through a wide selection of movies, music and applications. The tablet will also come with a GC860 GPU, a 512MB of DDR Memory and up to 8GB of Nandflash built-in storage. Additional files can be stored inside a micro SD card as long as the total file size doesn’t exceed the limit of 32GB.
The Ainol Novo 7 Paladin seems to be a really good alternative for those with a very tight budget. Come to think of it, the slate comes with an 800 x 480 capacitive touchscreen that is far better than any other cheap tablets with resistive displays.
