Great news folks! Acer America announced in its recent press release that its newest model of tablet will be made available in the US this January 15th. The 10.1 inch >Acer Iconia Tab A200 looks very classy in its slim body that flaunts a titanium gray coat. On the other hand, the slate’s soft-touch rear offers an eye-catching pattern.
The new Acer Iconia Tab A200 will be part of Acer’s ever-growing family of Iconia Tabs. It will be offered in two different storage sizes. The 8GB model will be sold for $329.99 while the 16GB model will be sold for $349.99. No word has been stated regarding the slate’s global launch.
Setting the price aside, the Iconia Tab A200 will be flaunting its 10.1-inch HD multi-touch crystal clear display alongside with its 1280 x 800 pixels of full screen resolution. Through this, you will be able to make the most out of your true media experience. But wait, there’s more! The slate will also be equipped with an integrated GeForce GPU that can allow you to enjoy your favorite HD games aside from the usual flash-based applications. In addition, the tablet will run on NVIDIA’s dual core Tegra 2 processor. As for those who are quite hoping to taste the new features of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, Acer promised to upgrade the slate’s Android 3.2 Honeycomb operating system to ICS for free by mid-February.
There’s a bit of a downer though. The slate won’t be equipped with any rear snapper but you’ll be able to use its 2MP front facing camera for video calls. The tablet will also be equipped with a micro SD slot, micro USB and a full-sized USB 2.0 port. Exclusive features like the Screenshot, Acer SocialJogger, Acer Ring, Tegra Zone Android app and Acer Clear.fi will give you the freedom to manage your favorites without the need for you to access each and every application.
